Cozy and Fuzzy Accents

Shearling throw rugs are still all the rage in the Interior Design world. Everything from sheepskin rugs to faux throws provides a little extra fun texture to décor. In the fashion world we are seeing lots of soft and huggable coats, jackets and vests to make outfits pop.

One word of caution, be sure to use this fluffy fabric in moderation in your outfit as it adds a lot of bulk. Although it can be tempting to envelope yourself in a soft faux fur fabric it’s best to save this for lovely shearling throw blankets or a true long fur coat. If you would like to add a little pop of fluffy shearling, limit yourself to a little trim on a vest with the proper “silhouette loving” waistlines. A complete fur vest can overpower the smallest of all silhouettes. If you must wear a faux fur vest be sure the other items of clothing you are wearing underneath are not too boxy and show off your waist. Of course there’s nothing more retro than a fur coat.
