With the end of summer quickly approaching it's time to start thinking about your fall wardrobe.  Grab a cool glass of lemonade, take a deep breath and start going through clutter in your closet.

·         First, go through your closet, discard old hangers and throw away any old dry cleaning bags.

·         Now, turn on some peppy music and start trying on clothes.  I want you to try on anything you question whether it fits or is outdated.

·         Grab a trash bag to pile in any clothes you want to donate or sell to a resale store.  Be brutal!  You are beautiful and you always deserve to look fabulous! It's better to have 5 cute outfits that fit perfectly and emphasize your personality and style, than 10 outfits that just look "ok".  Remember this is a process.  It may take a few years to really transition your outfits into clothes you absolutely adore so we are going to take it one step at a time.

·         Ok, when you are trying on clothes, think back to the last time you wore this outfit.   Remember how great you looked, but also keep in mind our figures change with time and sometimes outfits may not look as good as we remembered.  Hmm.... Maybe that super cute dress you wore a few years ago doesn't quite look as adorable as you remembered.  It's ok though, because we need to stay current and create new looks and styles as our lifestyle changes.  It's important to analyze each outfit to consider if it is the correct color and style.  It is a good length?  Is the shape right for your body style?

·         One of the easiest and least expensive ways to update your wardrobe is to add some sparkle with accessories.  It's amazing how accessories can turn a plain outfit into something extra special!  Accessories are an easy way to add spice and pizzazz!

If this task seems a little daunting give us a call and we will come to the rescue!  Bring in the experts to get the job done! We will go through your wardrobe and create outfits with clothing and accessories you already have. After we come up with some perfect outfits we will make a shopping list of items you need.  We will also create a photo album of your new outfits so all you have to do in the morning is flip through the album and pull out a complete outfit.  No thinking required!

To pack lightly here's what you need to do:

1. Buy Lightweight Luggage:  I just bought the LIGHTEST weight luggage in the world! "International Traveler Sub Zero G 3 Piece" at www.Luggagefactory.com.  I'll let you know how it holds up this summer.

 2.  Check the Weather:  Check the 10-day forecast in your destination city by visiting http://www.weather.com.  Believe me, I have frozen in Florida and overheated in New York!  Now I always check the forecast first.

3.  Create a Chart of Daily Activities:  Are you playing golf?  Sunbathing on the beach?  Attending a wedding?  Plan out your activities and pack accordingly.  Remember to select an outfit for day and one for night.

4.  Know Your Color Scheme:  The colors need to mix and match to make numerous outfits.  To determine your best neutral and accent colors schedule a color analysis.

5.  Opt for Travel Friendly Clothing:  Wrinkle free fabrics and comfortable clothing is a must!

6. Light Weight Shoes: Shoes can be heavy so select wisely by using one neutral color for all your shoes.

7. Accessories are Small:  Take numerous scarves, earrings and necklaces.  Watch how heavy the necklaces are though.  I like to carry my jewelry in my carry-on.

8.  Make a List:  Clothing and toiletries should be on the list.  Check everything off as you pack.  What's a terrific bonus to this system of packing? One plus is that if you know exactly what you packed you can readily file a claim with the airline should your bag go missing.

9.  Leave Room in Your Bag:  If you like to purchase items on your trip, then save space to bring everything home.

10.  Carry Your Makeup and Meds: Always keep your makeup, skin care, glasses, contacts, meds, etc. with you.  We have a fabulous magnetic makeup case to consolidate your makeup to fit easily in your handbag.

Finally, plan ahead.  Give yourself plenty of time to pack.  Rushing leads to over packing or forgotten items.  Do you need some help planning your travel wardrobe?  Make an appointment with me to select everything you need to efficiently pack your suitcase.  By taking the stress out of packing you be able to enjoy your trip more!

I hope you have a wonderful and stress-free summer vacation!

Spring has hardly sprung, and already my spring outfit count is on the rise. In the past month,Pic 1.jpg I have made hundreds of outfits for my clients, ranging from casual, to professional, to dressy. With such a busy season under way, I am left wondering, "When am I going to find time to dress myself for spring?" Before you worry too much about me, let me reassure you that I have never been one to choose much over fashion, and I am sure I will find the time to fine-tune my wardrobe, even if it means working into the wee hours of the night.  Sleep can wait, fashion comes first!

While I know that I am in the minority when it comes to loving fashion more than, well a lot of other things, I don't expect others (including my clients) to stay up all night putting together Pic 2.jpgtheir outfits. If you haven't made your appointment for a spring wardrobe overhaul (or at least a spring wardrobe remix), now is the time. My appointments are booked a month out, and I want to make sure that you don't miss out on your opportunity to look fabulous this spring!

For your enjoyment, here are some samplers from my spring wardrobe creations. Don't you want your outfits to be this fabulous this spring? Call or email me asap to reserve your spot on my calendar!
